Bantam Crush Continue Strong Season

The Chatham-Kent Bantam ‘A’ Crush secured 3 of 4 points this weekend after a pair of hard fought games with the Sarnia Lady Sting.

Chatham-Kent took the first game 3-2 with a last minute goal from Abby Tape. Tape scored with only 13 seconds left in the game and only 25 seconds after Sarnia scored to tie it up at 2. Morgyn Woudenberg had the assist as she drove strong to the net in the dying seconds. Alex Maryschak opened the scoring for CK on a one-timer, assisted by Jeanette Legere. Abby Tape also had the 2nd goal for the Crush. Amber Parent played another strong game in net for the crush notching her 5th straight win.

On Sunday, CK again faced the Sarnia Lady Sting and finished with a 1-1 tie. Jeanette Legere was the lone goal scorer for the Crush with Morgyn Woudenberg assisting on the play. Libby Barnard was very steady between the pipes and made multiple game saving stops.
