Ballhawks Take Two Medals

The Chatham Ballhawks 17U and 16U girls won silver and bronze respectively in OVA action this past weekend in the 17U Provincial Cup.

Chatham’s 17U entry took silver, beating Forest City (London) 25-21, 25-11 in the quarterfinals, before ousting the Chatham Ballhawks 16U team in the semi-finals 25-21, 25-18.

In the championship match, the 17U Ballhawks fell in a nailbiter to South County Teal (Windsor) 25-23, 14-25, 12-15.

The 16U Chatham Ballhawks, facing older competition went 8-2 overall in the tournament. They defeated LVC Fire Smoke (London) 25-14, 25-17 in the quarterfinals, before being beat by their older Ballhawks counterparts in the semis.

In the Bronze Medal Match, facing the Sharks (London), the 16U Ballhawks prevailed with a 25-23, 25-18 win.
