McPherson Named Player of the Game In Team Ontario Win
Chatham’s Jessie McPherson made a sparkling 39-save performance for Team Ontario Blue in a win over Team Quebec at the National Women’s U18 Championships.
Ontario Blue topped Team Quebec 3-1 riding McPherson’s goaltending.
The 39-save performance earned McPherson player of the game honours for Ontario.
McPherson appeared for Team Canada’s U18 Team this summer in a series against the USA.
She currently plays for the PWHL’s Cambridge Rivulettes and is committed to play next season for the University of Vermont.
Team Ontario Blue is now 2-0 in the tournament after beating Manitoba 5-1 on Tuesday. The tournament is being held in Manitoba.
