Jessie McPherson is an outstanding athlete and indeed deserves athlete of the year for Chatham-Kent. Jessie has worked hard to acheive all the accomplisments she has done for her rivullettes team as goalie in Cambridge Ont. and for the u18 Canadian womens hockey team that she has travelled to compete with at Lake Placid. British Columbia and for the Ontario team in Manitoba. If she is not at school she is training with different trainers in Ont. to make sure she is the best she can be. Please vote for Jessie. nana & papa.

Emma Pegg needs to win and deserves to win, especially this year. She kept on training even through her mother’s final days. She kept her focus and her determination really shone through. She is such a dedicated athlete to carry on even through the loss of her mother. She is so very strong and a great model for our youth. Emma deserves to win!

Marandee is a role model to all. She just loves so much and has such strong morals and family values. Her talent comes so easy to her, and she uses it to support her community. She has spent her spare time between hockey in New Brunswick this year while maintaining her high grade point average at school. She is helping children by reading at the local library, helping seniors by finding and  decorating Christmas trees, putting on hockey camps for younger aspiring girls, volunteering her time to teach goalie skills to youth, and volunteering at a special needs youth group. She fits this into her time away from home to make sure she gives back to others. This is an individual who deserves to win just on her morals and values. Someone who is a great person  all around, and passes her knowledge to others. For Marandee she is more than just talent, she is heart, something that is so rare today! Love you Marandee, wishing you so much luck!
