It was a hard hitting, low scoring game between the Blenheim Blades and Wheatley Sharks in Blenheim last night. The game went into overtime, and at the conclusion the score of 1-1 would stand.

All scoring would occur in the 1st period, with the Sharks drawing first blood.

Sharks Dawson Iles scored at 12:19 to take the lead, but less than two minutes later the Blades would tie it up when Sam Mckinlay scored his first career PJHL goal. That would conclude the scoring, but the hits kept coming until the final buzzer. Both teams had some good chances to get the win, but the goaltenders were up to the task. The teams didn’t just tie in the scoring department, but also on shots on goal, 29 each.

The Sharks are now sitting in 5th place with 27 pts, and the Blades are ties with Dresden for 6th with 22 pts. The Blades have a game in hand on Dresden.
