Burke Bechard Named Guelph Athlete of the Week

Dover Centre’s Burke Bechard has been named the University of Guelph Gryphons female athlete of the week after a pair of strong performances for the school’s women’s basketball team.

Sunday, Bechard scored a game-high 22-points for Guelph, along with 7 rebounds, 5 steals, and 5 assists, to lead the Gryphons to a 79-65 win over Lakehead.

Earlier in the week, Bechard had 13-points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds in a win over Wilfrid Laurier.

This is Bechard’s second athlete of the week honour this season.
