The Wallaceburg Atom Rep Lakers returned form the 62nd Annual Peterborough Liftlock Tournament with gold medals.

The Lakers participated in Ontario’s Largest Atom Tournament in the Cory Stillman Division over this past weekend.

After going undefeated in round robin play, and finishing a come from behind victory over Muskoka Rock in the Semi-Finals the Lakers took on the Mariposa Lightning in the Championship game.

The Gold medals came in dramatic fashion at the Peterborough Petes’ Home Memorial Arena after Max Calero tied the game in the final minute of regulation. Zac Allaer played a stellar game between the pipes with a full team effort in front of him. The deciding goal came from a Daniel Crumback pass to Tyler Coll with the winner. Final Score was 3-2.

The Wallaceburg Rep Lakers are hitting their stride just in time to face the Lucan Irish this week in Game 1 of OMHA playdowns.

Seth High Field received the MVP award from the tournament.
