Thamesville’s Dane Fox and Blenheim’s Kyle Hope helped the Frederikshavn White Hawks win the Metal Ligaen Final 4 championship this weekend.

The Metal Ligaen is Denmark’s top professional hockey league. Frederikshavn defeated Rungsted 2-0 in the championship game.

Fox was Frederikshavn’s top scorer this season with 22 goals and 51 points in 38 games. He signed with Frederikshavn after spending two seasons in the DEL with Kolner Haie.

Hope didn’t appear in a regular season game for Frederikshavn, joining the team in time for playoffs after being transferred from the EIHL’s Manchester Storm.

The duo were teammates in minor hockey playing with the Chatham-Kent Cyclones.
