Our Champions: The Minor Midget Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs

“Our Champions” will look at the areas team’s who didn’t get to finish their season due to COVID-19. This week we celebrate the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs Minor Midget ‘AAA’ team.

The Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs won the Alliance Hockey championship, led by Blenheim’s Brady Stonehouse, who was the top scorer in the Alliance playoffs, and Ridgetown’s Zander Veccia.

Elgin-Middlesex was considered one of the top teams in the province, and were slated to play at the OHL Cup last week, however their season and shot at a provincial championship were cut short due to the coronavirus.

Brady and Zander, you are “Our Champions.”
