CK Athletes Now Know When Tokyo Olympics Will Take Place

It will now be the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games after organizers officially announced the Games will be rescheduled for July 23 to August 8, 2021.

Chatham basketball player Bridget Carleton had already qualified for the Olympic Games as part of Canada’s National Women’s Basketball team, as had Blenheim’s Breanne Nicholas with Canada’s Women’s Rugby 7s team.

Bothwell’s Nick Wammes was part of a potential Team Canada Cycling roster.

Chatham swimmers Genevieve Sasseville and Quinn Matteis were scheduled to compete at the Canadian Olympic Trials in March, which were cancelled.
