Our Champions: Dresden Jr. Kings Peewee Hockey Team
“Our Champions” will look at local team’s and athletes who didn’t get to finish their season due to COVID-19. This week we celebrate the Dresden Jr. Kings Peewee Rep team.
Dresden opened their playoffs beating West Lorne in three straight games, following that up with sweeps over Port Dover and finally Drayton in the OMHA ‘DD’ semi-finals.
The Peewee Kings were scheduled to face Duoro in the OMHA championships, beginning March 14 before the coronavirus got in the way.
Dresden Jr. Kings, you are Our Champions.
I have 2 boys on this team. I agree 100% they are champions!! Such a great group of kids who worked very hard to get to the finals. Heartbreaking way to end the season for sure. Hats off to the Douro Dukes who we were set to face off against, I consider them Champions as well. Great season boys!!
