Sasseville, Matteis On Dry Land As Olympic Swim Trials Were Set To Begin This Week
A pair of Chatham Y Pool Sharks, Genevieve Sasseville and Quinn Matteis were slated to compete at the Canadian Olympic Swim Trials this week, but the event was one of many postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Olympic Trials were scheduled for March 30 to April 5 in Toronto.
Sasseville, who has been training at the Ontario Swimming Academy would have competed in the 100m and 200m butterfly, as well as the 50m and 200m freestyle events.
Matteis was set to swim in the 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle events.
