Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs celebrate their Alliance Minor Midget ‘AAA’ title

The Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs won the Alliance Championship this weekend on a late third period goal from Brady Stonehouse.

Stonehouse scored with less than 5-minutes remaining to secure a 3-2 win over the Hamilton Huskies, and clinch a series win over the Huskies, and the Alliance Minor Midget ‘AAA’ title.

Stonehouse finished first in league postseason scoring with 15 goals and 29 points in 16 games.

The Blenheim product will now lead his team into the OHL Cup facing the best teams from across the Province and surrounding States.

Ridgetown’s Zander Veccia finished the postseason 8th in points with 11 goals and 18 points in 16 games.
