World Famous Sports Stadium Architect Dies Of Coronavirus

The Marassi stadium in Genoa for the 1990 World Cup in Italy

Famed Italian architect Vittorio Gregotti has died of coronavirus in Milan, Italy.

Gregotti was known for designing the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics stadium and the Marassi stadium in Genoa, Italy which was used for the 1990 World Cup of Soccer.

The architect contracted pneumonia after falling ill from COVID-19. He was 92-years-old.
