Kaleb Tiessen Signs With OJHL’s Collingwood Blues
“Kaleb is a workhorse on the backend, he’s big, he’s mobile and he is not afraid to push his weight around,” said Blues General Manager Mike Tarantino in a team release.
Tiessen, who also spent multiple seasons in a Chatham-Kent Cyclones uniform, was thrilled to sign with Collingwood, despite enjoying his time in Chatham-Kent thoroughly.
“As much as I loved playing in Chatham and how great of an organization they are, I felt that signing with the Collingwood Blues was the best option for me to take the next step in my career and play at a higher level,” Tiessen told CKSN.
“I believe this is a huge step forward for me to play Junior A and further reach my goals.”
Tiessen, a 6’4″ defenseman had 15 points in 49 games for the Maroons this season.
