The Ontario Football Alliance, which governs the Chatham-Kent Cougars released an update earlier this month regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. Below is their update, which states they will reassess the status of youth football this summer on May 29.

Football Canada and the Ontario Football Alliance will continue to monitor the public health situation regarding the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. Members and the football community are encouraged to check OntarioFootball.ca & FootballCanada.com for updates as they develop.

With that being said, in compliance with the Federal and Provincial Government along with the guidance of Football Canada, the Ontario Football Alliance will be suspending all events in the month of May. With the guidance of Football Canada, the Ontario Football Alliance will reassess the situation on May 29th for our June events.

Following the direction of Football Canada and the Football Canada Board of Directors, the Ontario Football Alliance continues to suspend all face-to-face meetings or gatherings, training, practice and play for all members indefinitely due to the issues surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

The health and well-being of our football community is our absolute top priority. We ask that you have faith in our decision on this matter and that the Ontario Football Alliance and Football Canada have your best interests in play.
