Students will not be returning to campus for in-person classes this Fall at the University of Windsor. Although not announced, this move puts into question Fall sports at the USports level.

“We want students to be able to pursue safely and successfully the academic goals they have chosen, no matter where they are, what their situations are, or how health risks evolve,” University of Windsor President Robert Gordon said in a statement. “A decision has therefore been made to deliver UWindsor courses, including their final exams, primarily online in Fall 2020.”

Many Chatham-Kent athletes compete at the University of Windsor, including Windsor Lancers male athlete of the year Pierce Johnson. Other notable Windsor Lancers athletes include Maggie Denys, Anthony Atkinson, Brady Pataki, Trent Fox, Nolan Gardiner, Cai Kellier, Keira Jackson, Brooke MacLeod, Tanner Page, Kristina Brooks, Keely Baggio, Clayton Shreeve, Ricky O’Rourke, Giovanni Magliaro, and CJ Church among others.
