Chatham Man Launching New Putter Design, Hoping To Impact Golf World
A former Chatham man, Joel Luyt is launching a wooden putter, that he and businesses partner Mark Wilson hope will revolutionize the putting industry.
“There are a few companies out there that make wooden decorative putters,” Luyt said in an interview with Global News. “But we will be the first to market and manufacture a performance wooden walnut putter.”
Now living in Langley, British Columbia, Luyt’s new performance putter is part of a businesses venture known as Greenwood Golf.
The putter will feature a normal shaft, but will incorporate a wooden head, much like traditional golf equipment did.
According to Luyt, the walnut head gives golfers a more sensitive feel.
