The Sarnia Sting have named former Wallaceburg hockey player Brad Staubitz as the team’s new Associate Head Coach.

“This a well-deserved promotion for Brad,” said Sting general manager Dylan Seca.

“He has put the time into this league and team over the last 5 seasons and is ready to take the next set of challenges and responsibilities as the team’s Associate Head Coach. He is well-respected within our dressing room and organization. We welcome his passion and competitiveness to win, helping our players improve on a daily basis.”

Staubitz has served as an assistant coach with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting since 2016.

Staubitz played for the Wallaceburg Lakers in 2000-2001 before jumping to the OHL. He played 230 NHL games for the San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, and Anaheim Ducks.
