Day Wins Jamieson Opener

Chatham’s Garrett Day shot a 69 at Seven Lakes Golf Course in LaSalle on Tuesday en route to winning the opening stop on the 2020 Jamieson Golf Tour.

Day won the Collegiate Men’s division edging former Chatham Maroons forward, and Wayne State University teammate Josh DiCarlo by a single stroke.

Fellow Chatham golfer and Wayne State commit Mat Hawryluk finished 5th shooting a 75.

Brooke MacKinnon, who golfs for Hartford University was 2nd in the Collegiate women’s division shooting a 72, three strokes behind winner Jasmine Ly.

On the Junior side, Blenheim’s Aidan Webster tied for 2nd shooting a 75, three strokes behind winner Alek Mauro. Chatham’s Colin Kloostra was tied for 4th shooting a 76.
