Azevedo Off To A Hot Start In The KHL
Justin Azevedo is no stranger to the KHL. He’s in his 8th season in the league, all but one with Ak Bars Kazan.
Through that time, the former Chatham Maroons forward has been named a KHL First Team All-Star twice, won a Gagarin Cup, and totalled 100 goals and 275 points in 379 games.
This season, the 32-year-old is off to another strong start notching 8-points through his first 10 games, helping Ak Bars Kazan sit atop the Kharlamov Division.
Azevedo played for the Chatham Maroons in the 2003-2004 season as a 16-year-old, earning WOHL Rookie of the Year honours before moving on to the OHL, and being selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL draft.
