Horvat Proud Of Canucks Despite Elimination
Things didn’t end as hoped for Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat, but that doesn’t mean he’s not proud of his team.
“Crazy year and not the end result we wanted but I couldn’t be prouder of our group this year,” Horvat wrote on social media.
The Rodney product, who has many family ties to Chatham-Kent did his part to propel the Vancouver Canucks into the playoffs and through round one, scoring an NHL high 10 goals.
The Canucks themselves came a long way, eliminating the top ranked, and reigning Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues in 6 games, before falling in 7 games to the Vegas Golden Knights.
“We’ve come a long way as a team and the best is yet to come,” Horvat continued.
“Big thank you to all the Canuck fans during this crazy year for your continued support. Can’t wait to get things going next year already.”
For hockey fans, next year will come sooner than later, as the NHL is expected to start their 2020-2021 season in December.
