Brodie, Griffith Hit NHL Free Agency Today

Today is the day to find out where Dresden’s TJ Brodie and Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith will call home for their next, or perhaps next several professional hockey seasons.

Brodie is considered one of the top NHL defenders entering unrestricted free agency. He will undoubtedly be fielding calls from several NHL teams when free agency officially opens at noon.

Brodie has spent his entire career with the Calgary Flames, but was rumoured to be part of trade talks for much of last season.

Griffith spent all of last season with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose under contract with the Winnipeg Jets.

He’ll be courted by teams looking to add offensive depth, and as a mentor for young talent in the American Hockey League.
