GOJHL Gets Approval To Begin Play December 3
The GOJHL is joining in on modified play this winter, getting approval to begin play December 3.
Much like rules being implemented across Ontario, the GOJHL will compete without body contact, and with post-whistle scrums forbidden.
The teams are aiming to begin in two-team bubbles/cohorts facing off against teams from their own public health units.
This still presents some issues for teams like the Chatham Maroons and Sarnia Legionnaires, who do not have another team in their Health Unit borders.
Fans are currently only being discussed on a Health Unit by Health Unit basis, but all of the GOJHL’s teams have agreed to begin the season without fans.
Each individual team will still need to work with their local Public Health Unit to meet local expectations and rules.
