Return To Play For Maroons, GOJHL Put On Hold
The GOJHL, including the Chatham Maroons, return to play plans have been put on hold, with no expected date in mind for a season to begin.
The announcement from the league came with closures of arenas across Ontario imminent during the upcoming lockdown. With that said, the GOJHL is still hoping to have a season.
“Our priority is to exhaust all options in order to have some form of a season,” said GOJHL Commissioner, Mark Tuck.
“We are doing everything we can to get our players, teams and league through development and gameplay to a safe return to the ice.”
In November, the GOJHL had received approval for a modified 5-on-5 season, with a targeted return of mid-January.
