Beau Depencier Earns Offensive Recognition From Hill Academy
Beau Depencier is off to a strong start in his first year at The Hill Academy, despite the fact the sport school has not been able to play a regular schedule, like most teams in Ontario.
Depencier, a Dresden product who played for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Midget ‘AAA’ team last season.
Recently, Hill Academy played an series of games dividing the school’s U17 and U18 players into Team Red, Team Black, and Team Grey, to compete in what they called The Feather Cup.
Depencier suited up for Team Red, which through 20 games was atop the school standings with 29-points.
Following the Feather Cup, the Prep Coaches selected award winners, with Depencier being named the Top Offensive Players.
Last season with the Cyclones, Depencier had 14-points in 33 regular season games.
