NeutralZone.net Ranks Waddick As Top 5 Player In North America
Chatham-Kent hockey product Declan Waddick is considered a sure fire Top 5 pick for the 2021 OHL Draft. But he’s also considered a Top 5 prospect in the Nation by many.
That includes NeutralZone.net who has Waddick ranked 5th among prospects in his 2005 age group.
Players above Waddick include Grayden Slipec, Will Smith, Colby Barlow, Aram Minnetian.
Waddick also made ProspectPipeline.ca’s Top 60 list for the 2021 OHL Draft.
This season, Declan Waddick is practicing with the Waterloo Wolves organization after playing for the Sun County Panthers last season.
The next prospect on the list locally for this year’s OHL Draft (whenever and however it occurs) is Brayden Degelas, the top player for the U16 Chatham-Kent Cyclones. Degelas was also on ProspectPipeline.ca’s Top 60 list.
Other local players with a chance to hear their name called in this year’s OHL draft include Brendan McKay, David Brown, Tre Altiman, and Trent Ledrew.
In a year largely without scouting, finding hidden gems on any roster will be far more difficult.
