Watling Back In The ECHL With Wheeling
Patrick Watling’s hockey career continues to follow a full circle path.
After his Junior career with the Chatham Maroons and in the OHL, Watling turned professional playing mostly in the ECHL.
He then took a year away from hockey before heading back to the amateur game with the University of New Brunswick.
Now, Watling is back in the ECHL, this time with the Wheeling Nailers.
Through 10 games with the team this season Watling has 3 goals and 6 points.
Wheeling currently sits near the bottom of a shrunken ECHL field with a 2-5-3-0 record.
The Wheeling Nailers are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins.
