Brochu Will Remain With AHL Penguins
Brett Brochu isn’t going anywhere.
At least not until the OHL season is ready to roll.
The London Knights netminder, who hails from Tilbury has signed an amateur tryout agreement that will keep him with the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Brochu set an OHL record for wins by a rookie, and led the OHL in goals against average last season.
He joined Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on an amateur tryout for their training camp, but will continue on with the team until he can resume playing with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights.
Brochu played the role of backup in the Penguins first preseason game.
