Konecny’s Slump Continues
Travis Konecny got off to a torrid start to the season, including leading the NHL in scoring after week one.
Since then, almost nothing has gone right for the Philadelphia Flyers forward who led the Flyers in scoring, and represented the team at the NHL All-Star game last season.
Konecny has not recorded a point since an assist on January 26, being held off the scoresheet in five straight games, and being a healthy scratch for another contest.
The Clachan product isn’t generating many scoring chances either, registering only 3 shots on goal through those five games, compared to 12 shots during the first five games of the season.
Despite his personal struggles, the Flyers continue to sit among league leaders.
