Stephens Throws Personal Record At Sun Belt Championships

Alison Stephens finished off her Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track and Field season hitting a new personal best mark in the weight throw competition.

Stephens, who is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, threw 16.25m at Monday’s Sun Belt Conference Track and Field championships.

“This whole season I struggled to compete at my best so finishing with a personal record and reaching my goal for the season, I couldn’t really ask for more,” said Stephens.

With the indoor track and field season now complete, Stephens, a Chatham product, will turn her focus to the NCAA outdoor season.

“I’m honestly just really thankful I get to have an outdoor season. I’m really looking forward to seeing my hard work pay from these last 2 years this outdoor season.”
