McGeen Leaves NCAA For The University of Guelph
Former Chatham Maroons and Blenheim Blades forward Ted McGeen will play for the University of Guelph next season after transferring from the NCAA’s St. Lawrence University.
McGeen played two seasons of NCAA Division I hockey with St. Lawrence compiling 11 points in 45 games.
Guelph are the reigning OUA Queens Cup champions, but lost several key veterans after their run, and the gap of the COVID-19 pandemic will not aid in that.
McGeen, a Windsor product, will help replenish the team’s offense. In his final season of Junior before playing for St. Lawrence McGeen helped the Wellington Dukes to an OJHL title scoring 56 points in only 46 games.
