Montour Stuck In Sad Season With Sabres

Life has not been easy for the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, who are on an 18 game losing streak.
Those struggles are beginning to take a toll on the teams top talent, including for former Chatham-Kent Cyclones star Brandon Montour.
“It’s embarrassing. This whole stretch is embarrassing,” said Montour of the Buffalo Sabres losing streak following a 4-3 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers this week, a game in which the Sabres originally led 3-0.
“Any team in the NHL, that’s a win. … That’s on players. The 20 guys on the ice. That’s brutal.”
The former Tilbury resident becomes an unrestricted free agent following this season, and is considered a trade deadline candidate to be moved.
Montour has 10 points in 32 games this season.
