TJ Brodie and the Toronto Maple Leafs are the first Canadian NHL team to secure a playoff spot.

The Maple Leafs sit atop the NHL’s North Division with over 20 point separating them from the playoff line.

TJ Brodie has 13 points through 50 games this season, his first with the Leafs, and has been playing a top pairing role with the team.

On the other side of the conversation, Travis Konecny and the Philadelphia Flyers have been eliminated from playoff contention.

Konecny has 30 points in 44 games for the Flyers who currently sit 6th in the NHL’s East division, and have been mathematically eliminated from the playoff race.
