Breanne Nicholas will see her dream come true.

After battling a concussion, and the cancellation of the Olympics in 2020, the future was uncertain for Nicholas, but she’s now healthy, ready to go, and was named to Canada’s Rugby 7s roster for this summer’s Tokyo Olympics.

Nicholas, who hails from Blenheim, was one of 13 athletes named to the roster this week.

“The opportunity to go to another Olympic Games with this team is very exciting” said captain of the women’s team, Ghislaine Landry in a Rugby Canada release. “For the last five years, we’ve been training hard and hunting down podium finishes. I’m proud of our team and I know we are heading into the Games with a ton of talent and huge potential.”

Nicholas has represented Canada for the past several years moving from Canada’s Junior rosters to the Senior National team.

Nicholas is a Kent Havoc, London St. George’s, and Western University rugby alumni.
