Carleton Officially Named To Canada’s Olympic Basketball Team

It’s not official, Bridget Carleton will suit up for Team Canada at this summer’s Olympic Games.

Carleton was named to Canada’s National Women’s Basketball Team for the Olympics, a roster which including 10 of 12 players hailing from Ontario. That also includes Chatham born Miranda Ayim.

“Our women’s basketball team is packed, not only with incredibly talented players but with incredible community leaders,” said Team Canada’s Tokyo 2020 Chef de Mission, Marnie McBean in a Basketball Canada release.

Carleton is currently in her third season in the WNBA. She is a defensive specialist with the Minnesota Lynx.
