Four Local Swimmers At Canadian Olympic Swim Trials
Geneviece Sasseville, Shona Branton, Brendan Van Herk, and Quinn Matteis are all competing this week at the Canadian Olympic Swim Trials with an opportunity to represent Canada this summer at the Olympic Games on the line.
On the first day of racing, Sasseville finished 8th among swimmers in the 100m butterfly (1:00.93) prelims. She finished 10th in the finals,
Matteis was 19th in the finals for the 400m Freestyle.
Sunday, Branton took 12th in the 100m breaststroke (1:13.23).
The meet continues until Wednesday.
