Alex Park Signs With Junior A Ottawa Senators

Chatham’s Alexander Park has signed with the CCHL’s Ottawa Junior Senators.

Park, a Chatham-Kent Cyclones and Windsor Jr. Spitfires alumni had signed last season to play with the GOJHL’s LaSalle Vipers before the lockdown ended the season.

“The Ottawa Jr. Senators are a very historic team and have proven themselves to be one of the top Junior A programs in Canada,” said Park in an Ottawa Jr. Senators news release. “They are great for developing players while also succeeding as a team. Playing in Ottawa will help prepare me for my future goals in hockey.”

Park was the Windsor Spitfires 1st round pick, 14th overall in the 2020 OHL U18 Draft.

“My short-term goals are winning and growing as a team while also developing my shot along with all areas of my game, as I feel I always have room to grow,” Park continued in the news release. “Down the road, my goal is to get an NCAA Division I scholarship, so I can get an education while continuing to play hockey.”

The Ottawa Jr. Senators begin their CCHL season on September 24 against Brockville.
