Pierce Johnson Signs Pro Volleyball Contract
Chatham’s Pierce Johnson will continue his volleyball career at the professional level after signing with Selver Tallinn in Estonia.
Johnson has been training with Canada’s National Volleyball program in Gatineau, Quebec this season.
“This has been my dream since I was a kid, to become a professional athlete,” Johnson told CKSN. “This feels like a life time of work finally coming together and I’m so excited to start this new chapter.”
Johnson is a graduate of the University of Windsor where he was named the Windsor Lancers male athlete of the year in back-to-back seasons to close out his University career.
With Windsor, he was the OUA West Division Player of the Year, and.a USports All-Canadian, and also won the WESPY, for Windsor-Essex Male Athlete of the Year, and Volleyball Player of the Year.
