Carleton’s Olympics Over As Canada Finishes 9th

Canada entered the Tokyo Olympics as a medal hopeful ranked 4th in the world.
After a disappointing loss to Serbia in the opener, Canada bounced back to beat Korea, before falling again to Spain.
Canada’s 1-2 record placed them 9th overall, causing the team to miss the quarterfinals in the 12 team tournament.
Carleton had a spectacular Olympics, playing the second most minutes of any Canadian behind only Kia Nurse, and the 7th most minutes of all players in the tournament.
She tied for 28th overall in scoring averaging 11.3 points per game. Her 6 rebounds per game placed 14th in tournament standings.
Chatham born Miranda Ayim finished her playing career by averaging 3.3 points per game while averaging 18.9 minutes on the court for Canada.
The USA enters the quarter-finals as the top ranked team.
