Local Duo Pitching For Welland

Chatham pitchers Richard Corrente and Austin Oulds are manning the mound for the Intercounty Baseball League’s Welland Jackfish this summer.
Corrente started Friday, throwing for six and a third innings, and registering six strikeouts in a 13-12 loss to the Hamilton Cardinals.
Sunday, Austin Oulds took his turn hurling for Welland. He pitched one and two thirds innings in a 14-11 loss to the Kitchener Panthers.
The IBL is considered the top amateur baseball league in Ontario.
