VanDamme In Consideration For Team Canada
Wallaceburg lacrosse product Emily VanDamme is in consideration for a roster spot with Canada’s National Women’s Field Lacrosse team.
VanDamme was one of only three goalkeepers to attend the camp earlier this month in Oshawa.
The Trent University standout has attended the National Championships, having won gold while representing Team Ontario.
In 2019 she led Trent to an OUA championship, and was named a First Team All-Star in the process.
Athletes chosen from this camp will participate in the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic and Sixes tournaments in October 2021, where the final roster will be selected. From there, the Canadian Women’s Field Lacrosse Team will travel to Japan in November for training camp and competition. The Women’s World Championship will take place in Maryland, USA from June 29 to July 9, 2022.
