Wammes Sets Personal Best At Tokyo Olympics
Bothwell’s Nick Wammes had a strong start in the Tokyo Olympics cycling sprints.
Wammes advanced to the 1/16 Cycling Finals.
After qualifying 12th, Wammes beat Germany’s Stefan Bötticher, who was the 2013 World Champion, in his 1/32 Heat.
In the 1/16 Finals, he was edged by Denis Dmitriev of the ROC.
Wammes also set a new personal best time of 9.587.
