2021-2022 Will Be The Year Of The Rookie
In hockey, rookies are always watched with added interest. Who will be the next star, which prospect will excel and advance, who will struggle.
The 2021-2022 season will undoubtedly be the year of the rooke.
After all, there will be double the amount of rookies on most teams after a lost 2020-2021 season for many leagues.
With COVID cancelling much of last seasons competition, teams across Ontario from the OHL, GOJHL, PJHL, OJHL, CCHL, and other leagues will be filled with new faces. The graduates of 2019-2020, and 2020-2021 now gone.
With this, older and stronger rookies will compete to make up for lost time.
From Chatham-Kent, this list includes a slew of prospects such as Brady Stonehouse, Zander Veccia, Ryan Gagner, Alex Park, and Anthony Lucarelli who were all committed to Junior teams last year, but will make their full season debuts this campaign.
Other true rookies such as Declan Waddick, Brayden Degelas, and David Brown will also slide into rosters looking to make their mark.
As the 2021-2022 season gets underway, there will be plenty of rookie storylines to follow.
