Jordan Wickett On A Record Setting Trek Across The Bruce Trail
Chatham’s Jordan Wickett is on a journey to break a record across the Bruce Trail.
Wickett began an 890 km self-supported journey across the Bruce Trail on August 29, a journey he expects to take 14 days. If he can complete the trek in this time frame, he’ll set the self-supported fastest known time record for this journey.
“Self-supported means that I won’t have help from a support crew, I’ll be carrying a 30 pound backpack with my camping gear and I’ll be on my own most of the time,” Wickett explained on his blog.
Wickett competes in Ultra Marathons and other distance races typically in the 100 mile range. He currently lives in Georgetown, Ontario.
