Large Local Contingent Playing In PWHL
Several of Chatham-Kent’s top hockey players will skate this season in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League (PWHL).
The PWHL is the top Junior loop in Ontario for women’s hockey.
Abby Stonehouse will play for the London Devilettes this season as the youngest Chatham-Kent skater to crack a PWHL roster.
In Windsor, the Southwest Wildcats will again feature several players with Chatham-Kent ties including Walpole Island’s Taryn Jacobs, Chatham’s Brenna Dittmer, and Chatham alumni Brooke Campbell, Milana Butera, and Sarah Marchand. Joining the team this year from Bluewater’s PWHL team is Natalie Bray, while newcomers Sophie Coristine and Rylee Strohm will play their PWHL rookie campaigns.
The Bluewater Hawks roster will include Wallaceburg’s Kate Martin.
Locally, the Chatham-Kent Crush have also named their U18 and U15 rosters, offering ‘AA’ teams at both age groups.
