Blades Trounce Kings, Score Double Digits
By Wyatt Williams
Things went from bad to worse for the struggling Dresden Kings when they came to Blenheim Saturday night. The Kings previous outing in Lakeshore saw them suffer a 9-1 loss against the undefeated Canadians.
Saturday they had to endure an 11-3 beating at the hands of the Blades. Blades veteran Seth Henderson had another great night with four goals and three helpers. Leading scorer Tate Bowden had a hat trick and an assist for a four point evening. Former Chatham Maroon, Evan Wells seems to be getting his groove going as he also had 3 goals and an assist. Blades Trent Amaro supplied the other goal. The Kings got singles from Ethan Waddick, Ethan Carruthers and Andrew Earley.
The Dresden Kings now occupy last place in the division , as the Wallaceburg Thunderhawks upset the Amherstburg Admirals 4-3, to move out of the cellar by 1 point. The Blades travel to Wheatley Wednesday night and host Mooretown on Sunday. Dresden will have a tough task facing Lakeshore on the road Thursday, and hosting them Friday night in Dresden. Wallaceburg will host Mooretown Saturday night.
