Deni Goure Leading The Way For Attack
Deni Goure entered the OHL described as an electric offensive talent.
After the typical growth of a rookie season, and the cancellation of last year due to the pandemic, Goure is now showing that offensive prowess with the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack.
“Being one of the older guys on my team I had to jump into the role as one of our top players if we want to have success us being a young team,” Goure said of his start. “We have 13 rookies so I’m one of the more experienced guys on the team getting more minutes and I have a lot more confidence now having already played a season in the OHL hopefully I can keep having success.”
Through the first month of the season, Goure has 11 points including 6 goals in his first 10 games. That’s almost half way to his full season totals as a rookie.
Goure, a Grande Pointe product, and Chatham-Kent Cyclones alumni, hopes to keep his offensive output high.
“My goals from the start of the season was being a point per game player and having a better plus/minus,” he explained. “So far I’ve been point per game player so I need to keep it up. I’m hoping to become better in the defensive zone and start being a plus player.”
