Recreational Skating – Public, Tiny Tot, Adult, Shinny – To Return To Chatham-Kent Next Week

Chatham-Kent’s Municipal Ice Programs, including public skating, tiny tot skating, adult skating, shinny, and other ice programs will return Monday, November 15 across the Municipality.

According to Municipal officials, the delay in these programs, which typically begin shortly after ice is in arenas was due to Provincial restrictions related to COVID-19.

Now that many of those restrictions have been lifted, the Municipality will aim to return regular programming to arenas.

“We understand that there is a demand from the public to get these programs implemented as quickly as possible but the main priority was first, to ensure we are providing a safe and clean environment for everyone that enters our facilities,” said Rob Pollock, Chatham-Kent’s Director of Parks, Recreation & Cemeteries.

The schedule for these programs will be released later this week.
