VanDamme Leads Trent University To Back-To-Back OUA Championships

Wallaceburg lacrosse product Emily VanDamme backstopped the Trent University lacrosse team to their second consecutive OUA Patterson Cup championship.

The Trent Excalibur defeated the Queens Gaels 10-9 in a thrilling final, with VanDamme holding off Queens’ charge to tie the game.

“We came in with the mentality that we’re winning this game, and we did,” VanDamme said in a team news release. “We couldn’t be happier than we are now.”

VanDamme, who studied education at Trent, graduates from the team this year.
